![]() Hey there! In case you missed it, SpiceWorld 2023 registration is now LIVE! Register, here: you are in the planning process of attending this Spicy occasion, I wanted to make sure you all knew that discounted Hotel. SpiceWorld 2023 - Discounted Hotel Blocks Now Available! Spiceworks.add action -> Tasker -> Profile Status -> Name:ReadSMS Set:OffĮdit: added xml backups of profiles for easy import add action -> Location -> GPS -> Set:Off This settup requires two profiles, one to speak out text messages while driving (which is turned off) and one to turn on GPS and enable the text to speach profile.Įvent-> Phone -> Received Text -> Type:Any (sender and content left blank)Īdd task ReadSMS-> add action -> Alert -> Say -> Text: %SMSRN sent the following SMS: %SMSRB Engine Voice:Select desired TTS engine (I downloaded and use CereProc's Heather voice, i found it was the one that sounded the least robotic and it was only $1.62) Stream:Media (I use the media stream because i generally listen to music/audiobooks while driving and have this one cranked up)Īpplication-> iBOLT Dock'n Drive (or whatever app you use)Īdd action -> Audio -> Media Volume -> Level:15Īdd action -> Tasker -> Profile Status -> Name:ReadSMS Set:OnĪdd task iBolt Disconnect: (add this as the exit task on the profile) Ok, so here is another that will enable/disable gps and text to talk (for text messages) when the phone is docked to my truck and the iBolt Dock'n Drive app comes up and closes when i disconnect it. I did this because my alerts come in from an email address and the contact name didnt work so this way i can just put the email address in the if statement and it works great. I made a small change from above, i took out the contact in the profile context and enabled it for any MMS message, then put an if statement around the oncall alerts looking for the contacts number. ENJOY!Įdit: i am uploading the SMS backup of the profile/tasks for those who want to just import it. Now just turn the profile on and off depending if you're on call or not. To make this for yourself do the following:Īdd profile: On Call -> Event -> Phone -> Received Text -> Type:Any Sender:(Select sender contact) -> Click save buttonġ) Audio -> Notifcation Volume -> Level:7 (is max for my phone)Ģ) Task -> Wait -> 20 seconds (this gives ample time for the screen to turn to turn off after the text is recieved)ģ) Alert -> Notify Sound -> Title:OhNoes Sound File:SelectMP3FileHereĤ) Task -> Wait -> 7 Seconds (my sound file is 6 seconds long)ĥ) Alert -> Notify Cancel (leave title blank, the cancel is needed because when it repeats if the alert is still in the task bar the sound wont replay)Ħ) Task -> Goto -> Type:Action Number Number:3 If: %SCREEN ~ Off (This will end the loop when you turn the screen on)ħ) Audio -> Notifcation Volume -> Level:1 (bring the notifaction volume back down so things like emails or other text messages will not disturb me) Tasker has enabled me to make a profile that will play an mp3 (a sub's dive alarm) over and over until I look at the phone. I was the sole on call tech for 4 years, now we rotate, and as a result my phone doesnt usually wake me up at 3am when I get a text alert anymore. ![]() My first really useful tasker profile I made is for when I'm on call. If you're not using tasker you should check it out (thanks Rdavid). ![]() The material on this site may not be reproduced, distributed, transmitted, cached or otherwise used, except with the prior written permission of Condé Nast.I would like to make this thread to share tasker recipies. The clean, color-blocked pages do nothing to hide the drippy, messy, lopsided desserts on the pages-and that, Bauer told me in a series of phone calls and emails, is exactly the point. It's a book for sugar fiends and for anybody with any connection to the Midwest (trust this Ohio-born writer when he tells you she's something of a hero). This time, she tackles projects to make with those ice creams: cakes, cocktails and lots of sauces and crumbles ("gravels," in Jenispeak) with which to create sundaes. In her last book (the James Beard Award-winning Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams At Home), Bauer accomplished a seemingly impossible task: recipes for homemade ice creams that were actually creamy, not icy. Ice cream addicts are freaking out this week, and here's why: Jeni Britton Bauer, the punky Ohioan behind Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, has just released her new book Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream Desserts.
